Homemade Christmas gift for Mom?
I’m a 17 year old and I have no money, and I want to make something for my Mom. Something that’s not cheesy, and no photo books or those chore coupons (cause I do all the chores anyway) she’s not into all the sappy stuff. I can draw (manga style) kinda good, but I can’t really make anything “pretty” and even if I could I wouldn’t know what to draw/make. Please help me come up with some good ideas I really want to make her happy. Thanks!
You could make her a cookbook with recipes for foods or desserts that she likes. If she drinks, you could add a few drink recipes in there. You could illustrate it with some of your own drawings.
As far as pretty things go-
Martha Stewart actually has a lot of good holiday ideas, bath salts, bath fizzies, homemade soaps that are relatively inexpensive to make. I’m not sure how little money you are looking to spend, but you could get away with making some bath salts for under $5.
Another thing you could do is make her a cd of music or podcasts that she might like. I made a cd of This American Life for my mother for her birthday and she’s still listening to it. You could even design the cover and maybe the cover for the cd.
